The Mountain Laurel bloom is an iconic spring event in Pennsylvania woodlands, so it is no surprise it earned the title of Pennsylvania state flower. Fun fact - Mountain Laurel flower stamens have unique, spring-like mechanisms that spread pollen when tripped by a bee!
